Sorry for the quality of these pictures. They were taken in April, 1970, when I was attempting to race my 65 327ci Corvette Ragtop. During my short engine building/racing career, I installed a Crane 518 Cam, Hooker Headers, Holley 780 CFM Carburetor, solid lifters, Edlebrook High Rise Manifold, high end spark plug wires and distributor, and a Hurst shifter. The one aspect of racing I did not understand was rebuilding the transmission. Tore up a lot of transmissions and dropped a lot of drive shafts. Man. did that car sound nice when it idled. But what the heck, I was an eighteen year old, what did I know.
